Some of you know her from The Real Housewives of New Jersey where she is THE most level-headed one of the bunch. She is the mother of one daughter, Lexi. Who is growing up to be as beautiful as her Momma. She has two cats, Gramma Wrinkles who has been made famous by her appearances on the show herself and Ladybug! She is married and has a very large family and friend base.
Ladybug the cat as well as Ms. Manzo’s Project Ladybug are named for Dina’s love of Lady bugs!
Dina is not only a lover of her family, her pets one of which is a tiny chihuahua with only two legs. She loves life, spirituality, and her causes. She is a party planner, interior decorator, a wife, sister, aunt, friend, godmother. And she does all of these “jobs” at no less than 100%.
She is also the founder and very involved with her Project Ladybug activities, which is set up to as the website says “enrich the lives of children with life threatening diseases. The Fund strives to help families face the financial and the emotional hardships during their child’s treatment to help meet the needs of seriously ill and less fortunate patients in our region. Through improving the quality of life for these children and families during treatment, Project Ladybug hopes to improve outcomes for these patients.”
Dina walked away from The Real Housewives franchise at the heighth of popularity in order to remove the stress and un-needed squabbling from another certain cast member.
You have to admire someone who is so beautiful on the inside and just so together and absolutely gorgeous on the outside.
Dina inspires me in so many ways!
Tune in tomorrow to find out why Debbie Travis is my #3!
Since Monday is my free topic day where I can write about anything I like and weeeeellllll… I like TV I am going to write about what I watched this week-end!
First let me preface this by saying I was sick and James worked allllll week-end so most of this was watched in my bed in a state either falling asleep, being asleep, or waking up from sleep. There was a lot of tea drinking and dog cuddling oh and whining about not being able to breathe through my nose too!
So First I remember watching my Housewives. New Jersey and New York. I love Karma. I love, love, love it. Danielle, you act like a be-otch…. You get smacked in the face like a be-otch. “Kim G and I are like soul mates!” “Kim G and I should get married.” “Kim G…” “Kim G…” OM-G! Come on. No one forms a bond like that within the short time you have been friends AND, you knew that she was hanging out with the others, you KNEW that her son was best friends with Caroline’s son! So…. don’t start this sad, hurt shit again! It’s all too familiar. And Jill Zarin. OH it was so lovely for me to see them reject you! You have been the biggest hypocrite since season one and you seem to only have the ability to be friends with one person at a time and god help that person if they have other friends. Well sweetie, they gave it back to you three-fold. I llooovvvee it! Believe me there are a few people I would love to give it back to three-fold but… That is another story.
Then I watched “Love Actually” and I am actually in love with this movie! I cannot tell you how perfect this movie is to me. Colin Firth (Ahh, he was Mr. Darcy!!), Liam Neeson (loved him since Satisfaction, wanted to procreate with him after Rob Roy), Bill Nighy (Still Crazyabout him) and Alan Rickman (who is an older version of Trent Reznor!) all in one place a girl could pee herself! Here see……
After this I spent MUCH of the rest of the week-end engrossed in the full series of Keeping up With the Kardashians on E! seems they are trying to get us caught up with a Marathon before starting to show epis of the new season. I actually liked it, but if you can keep the family straight you are a genius. Here goes. Kris with Rob Kardashian has Kim, Kourtney (married to Scott and mother of Mason,) Khloe (married to Lamar,) and Rob Jr. Next Kris with Bruce Jenner has Kendall and Kylie. Now Bruce with first wife has Casey and Burt, then from his second marriage to Linda Thompson (who is now married to David Foster) has Brody and Brandon. Whew! I am surprised…
That is as bad as I can do this… This is Josh he’s our oldest he married Anna and they have our first grand baby MacKenzyie, then there, Jana, John-David, Jill, Jessa, Jinger, Joseph, Josiah, Joy-Anna, Jeremiah, Jedidiah, Jason, James, Justin, Jackson, Johanna, Jennifer, Jordyn, and our latest tiny precious addition Josie! Do you know how long it has taken me to get that straight! Now don’t even think of asking me their middle names although I know most! LOL!!! YES OCD is a beotch!!!!!
Ok so that is about as much as I watched. I did catch up on two episodes of Last Chance Highway and cried like an idiot as usual! Oh well that’s who I am and there’s not much that can be done about it. I love the show, I love Shelley and I am so po’d at those knocking what she does. You get off your ass and do it with your own money buckies and once you do that then you have a right to say something! Until then, shut up and be thankful there is someone out there like her!
OK, I’m gonna go now I think I am still a little delirious from being sick and not being able to breath properly. Hopefully I feel better soon. I can’t take much more of this.
OK so is it just me or does Grant Reynolds (Mr. Jillian Barberie Reynolds) look like he could be Christian Bales’ long lost brother?
So what do you think, Grant here on the left and Christian on the right really do have an uncanny resemblance thing going on here don’t they.
So quite by mistake I discovered the The Househusbands of Hollywood on Sunday. It was running on Global Reality Channel‘s marathon Sunday. The whole season ran in one day. I started watching and well… Couldn’t stop. You all know I am a The Real Housewives fan, so I thought this had to be somewhere in that ballpark. To tell you the truth It’s not on par. The men are nowhere near as mean but they are so much more funny! It’s very entertaining I will keep watching for further seasons.
After coming home from Dave and Buster‘s on Saturday night I was quite literally chomping at the bit to watch my Housewives. First came Jersey. I love them, I just love them. But I miss Dina. Caroline is pretty much the only stable one on the show now. Danielle is actually starting to scare me. I am afraid she is going to go stark raving mad one show and kill them all. Every time I see her all I can think of is can you say “Personality Disorder?”
Then came on New York. Kelly Kiloren Bensimone is also as my Grandfather would say “a bit scrambled in her head.” She is off kilter some how and not really sure it can be fixed. “If you had it like this you wouldn’t give it up either.” Who says that to their girlfriend? Especially when you are trapped on a boat with them. She ain’t all that and a bag of chips as she seems to think she is. “Bethenny you aren’t a chef you are a cook. I don’t know anyone who knows you as a chef so you aren’t a chef.” What the Fumigation does that mean? Just because Kelly K Bensimone says you ain’t a chef well then Bethenny you ain’t a chef. Who cares Kelly really we don’t. Who’s picking the fights then saying she doesn’t want to fight. Who’s running away saying she is too mature to talk about others and then coming back and picking fights? Kelly sweetie. You are SPUN… SPUN I tell you.
Well, Week two of Sarah Palin’s Alaska was on. I still love it. This week she was halibut fishing with Bristol. She felt that getting away from it all with her Mom might be a good thing for Bristol. I think she was right. Bristol is a very tough girl in-spite of all she has been through because she made the same mistake that many teen-aged girls make. She was down there clubbing the fish. She de-iced them, she filleted them. She had a good day just being a girl and her Mom.
So from Sarah Palin’s Alaska to Dancing with the Stars. I am very disappointed in the American public in how they have treated Bristol. She got more votes than Brandi did from the American public and so therefore she stays. There is no Brandi was better, Brandi should have stayed. You should have voted maybe she would have. We all know that Bristol is going home first and it will come down to Kyle and Lacey and Jennifer and Derrick and that Jennifer will win the mirrorball. I will be sad, I want Kyle and Lacey to win. But… Alas I am not the American public so I cannot vote.
Then came Skating with the Stars. mmmmm! Vince Neil I love you but skater you are not. Bethenny was Ok but the show doesn’t have hold. It’s kinda thrown together almost. The professional Skaters are nobodies. Now Skating with Celebrities was entertaining. They did one season and never did it again. I loved it. Jillian Barberie Reynolds was on it, and Kristy Swanson. I would have loved to see more seasons of that. It actually had skaters that we knew.
So this week is the American Thanksgiving, which means TV will be CRAPoLA!! Re-run city!
That’s OK, ’cause their Thanksgiving and the Toronto Santa Claus Parade pretty much signal the end of new programming and the start of Christmas programming. I don’t mind. I like the Christmas movies. I do however have withdrawal from my fave shows. With DWTS ending this week, and SWTS taking us for four more weeks, I should make it to Christmas.
Hopefully, Vampire Diaries is new this week. I was not best pleased when last weeks was a re-run.
Criminal Minds just seems off these days. I guess it’s the cast trying to get used to working without A.J. Cook I still love it. It’s just not as attention grabbing as it used to be.
I tried to watch The Walking Dead and got through maybe 40 mins of the first week and said “Nope!” I am still about four weeks behind on NCIS as James and I try to watch them together.
What else. Oh Kate plus 8 is going to be on next Sunday! Woo Hoo! Duggars are having a second grandchild and my new fave Animal Planet show is Last Chance Highway. Give it a go. Its about a well-to-do Southern Woman who drives around picking up strays, gets them fostered and then finds them homes up North in the USofA and the guy who runs the trailer up through he states to get the dogs to their forever homes.
It makes me cry. Now I have seen some nay sayers, since they are frightened that she may be picking up dogs that are not stray yet running around unattended. Who cares? I say! Well I guess there are legal ramifications but really aren’t the dogs better off in the new loving RICH homes? I think so!
OK so I am now at 976 words and think I have written enough. Hopefully you are still reading this. LOL!!!! See you Thursday (993). Gotta keep going till I reach the (1000) whopping number of 1000… There did it! Have a great night.
This reminds me of when I was little, we would play it every year when we were putting the Tree up.
This ones for Kay! I can still see her belting this out at work.
Here are my two new fave pics!
Ok that’s it! I’m really going now! Really have a good night!
So… So far I have watched, America’s Next Top Model, Hell Cats, Vampire Diaries, Tori and Dean, The Real Housewives of DC, NJ and NYC. So here goes.
Along with Kate Plus 8 and Quints by Surprise, Ice Road Truckers and Pawn Stars, Some new shows have started like Hell Cats. Originally a CW Network Original, but somehow we have it playing on A-Channel and Much Music. Rather liked it. Wasn’t sure at first, but I have to admit I am fond of Ashley Tisdale! I have been ever since I saw Picture This! So I gave it a chance and well I actually liked it. Think it will be a watcher for me. There is just enough drama and teenaged softness about it that it is one of those that you can watch and forget your troubles. Give it a chance! It gets a 4.5 outta 5 from me!
Well then ANTM, Tyra needs to therapy but I always watch the beginning and then taper off towards the end. It’s cycle 16 and how many times can you watch the same thing…….? Really! However I keep tuning in…
I cannot tell you how happy I was about the following shows. Vampire Diaries. Oh how I have missed you my friend. I have waited with anticipation beads of sweat on my heaving chest. Ohhh sorry! I was getting a little carried away. I am so happy this is back, it was one of the shows that started last fall that I truly enjoyed and never missed. Damon is so sultry and brooding and so broken that you just want to hold him but you know that wellllll….. He is just a trap, he will bite you as fast look at you but still he has that lure, that, I need you so badly look that you can’t…. What I am supposed to be writing about the show…. Ha! Well the addition of Katherine. The changing of (or is he changed) Jeremy…. Ohhhh! Let see what happens. And what the heck is up with the Lockwoods? Tyler? Vampire? Wolf? Something else? Hmmm! Gonna be a good season!
So Saturday was the best day of my life! Tori and Dean. I love them. It is so nice to see that Stars are actually real people! Liam and Stella are growing up and T and D are trying to make their marriage work. Wow it does happen in Hollywood.
Then After that was The Real Housewives of DC. Not too sure about this right now. Like Cat a lot! Like Mary too (is it me or does she look just like Natasha Richardson?) Lynda is just a big BEOTCH and Staci is too self-righteous for me. As for Michaele she is something else. This show doesn’t seem to have the spunk that the OC, NJ, NYC, Atlanta ladies do but it is the first episode so lets see.
So then came the Jersey Girls, I love them I think they are my fave after the OC. Teresa is the best. However I love Dina. I have been watching all the Tweets over the last few months and I pretty much know what is going to happen yet we have just seen the first episode of the second season here in Canada and well I can’t wait for the rest of the season.
Then TRHoNYC. Let me start by saying Jill is a horrible harpie! She used to be my fave but man is she ever happy? “If I was having a boating day I would have a gift for everyone!” “If I was her friend she should have taken me on the Today Show with her.” Last year she couldn’t stand Kelly this year she Luanne and Kelly are best buds. Ramona is distancing herself I don’t blame her the way that Luanne was after her for something Mario said! Really!? Get a life! It ain’t the worst and it ain’t gonna be the last! Sorry Countess, but give it up now! Alex I have to say after following her on Twitter I have gotten to like her and Simon much much more! Bethenny “You go girl!” Really, love, baby, business. Anyone who is negative is just jealous of you!
So, this week is Parenthood! EXCITED. Life UnXpected, Survivor, Outlaw and The Apprentice. Okinowa! (I have no idea what that means but it makes me laugh) I have some much to watch and so little time.
Anyone ever watch The Haunted on Animal Planet. It is starting over again this week and it is pretty enthralling! Well I love it!
Annnnnd on Thursday we are going to see Roger Waters at the ACC and I am taking the day off! YEAHAW!!!! He is doing The Wall this time, we saw him three years ago when he did Darkside of the Moon! It was phenomenal!
See ya next week for my take on the rest of the shows. CAN’T WAIT TILL CRIMINAL MINDS COMES BACK!
Well we are two days into September and that is actually pretty darn exciting for a number of reasons.
1 — NEW TV SEASON STARTS SOON.
2 — Brody will be 4.
3 — My Birthday.
4 — Long week-end brings four days off work.
5 — Heath and humidity will go away soon.
6 — Hallowe’en is that much closer.
7 — My BFFN (Best Friend Forever Nephew) will be arriving.
I could go on an on and on… I love September
8 — The leaves start to change.
9 — There is a crisp chill in the air.
10 — You know the nights get darker quicker.
11 — The end of the natural life is near, and getting ready for slumber over the harsh winter.
12 — It is just such a cozy feeling in September.
So, in preparation for September, I have done a whole lot of searching. Since I was one of those people who cherished the “NEW FALL SEASON” issue of TV Guide and cried when I found out they were going to stop publishing it, I have had to do a lot of internet work. Which leads to my second favorite thing… Excel Spreadsheets. So I have a spreadsheet for the timing of each show I wanna go back to watching and some I am gonna try on for size this season. Then I even went to the trouble of looking up the start dates and putting them in my iPhone so I would not miss them.
So This week has been fun…
The start of the new Kate Plus 8 season, God I love her, I still do and I don’t care what anyone says. I also have started watching Quintuplets by Surprise it’s a nice little change. It is a family who married as highschool sweethearts and had a daughter, “Eliot” who is much like Cara (a spoiled little thing) on Kate Plus 8 (although I have to say I have noticed that Hannah is getting a little big for her britches these days too). She is a stay at home Mom who has five 17 month olds along with their older daughter. He is a builder who is feeling the effects of the downturned economy and just completed his MBA in the midst of all of the kerfuffle that his life deals out. They are very loving and very social, BUT, they are money in Texas if that tell you anything!
So also this week… Ice Road Truckers Season 4 Kelly, Hugh, Alex and Jesse are all back. To not only take on the Dalton, with its Addigan Pass and Avalanche Alley, but the frozen RIVERS (are they CRAZY) of Northern Alaska! Was not the Arctic Ice Roads and driving on the Arctic Ocean enough!?
What else? Oh ya! Shattered on Showcase hmmm, should be right up my alley, a Police Detective with MPD… Well we don’t call it Multiple Personality Disorder anymore people! Its called DID or Dissociative Identity Disorder. Alas I tried to watch it… I really did. I just had to shut it off at about 3/4 of the way in.
NEXT WEEK!!! Tori and Dean! Wooo Hooo!
Then OMG! I have been waiting for so long, I can’t even tell you I am going to explode! The Real Housewives of New York and New Jersey! Ahhhh! I could just die! I have been following the showings in the USA on Twitter with them all and WOW these seasons seem to be really EXPLOSIVE.
The week after brings the beginning of Ahhhhhhh… The Vampire Diaries I am soooo excited. There is nothing like a hard day at work, coming home and after all is done settling into bed with the one you love to watch a show that you think is GREAT, it is the most cozy time of the day for me. I love it.
So of course along with my old stand bys, Parenthood, NCIS, Criminal Minds, The Mentalist, Hell’s Kitchen and Grey’s I have decided that I will give a few new one a go. Will blog about each as I watch and let you know.
So as you can tell September means a lot to me. I also love the whole Autumn. It is so refreshing to me. A New Year to anyone who is Pagan.
It also means that I will have to say good-bye to my beloved As the World Turns… I can’t belive that we are breaking up after 24 years! I love you!
Oh ya! My fave from The Hills, Audrina Patridge is going to be on Dancing with the Stars this season! Woo Hoo!
See you next week to talk about the new and returning shows that debut then!
Hey there, friends it’s been a while! Lots going on in my busy little life!
As you know I am a television addict. I should have prolly called this blog the confessions of a TV addict, however it is what it is. So the reason I bring this up is that I have recently started watching Animal Planet Canada again, and am so pleasantly surprised with the shows.
First I have discovered Orangutan Island it is about a number of orphaned Orangs who are brought up in a sanctuary as babies and then placed onto an island to start forming bonds with other older Orangs. I love it. The expressions and touching the love then gentleness of these beings makes it hard for me to understand how anyone could want to see them anywhere other than in their loving groups and their natural habitats.
Now on Friday nights there is a new spot, 10pm which they fill with a different show ever couple of weeks. Right now they are running Pitbulls and Parolees! It is a beautiful story of a rescue facility that take in mostly Pitties and employees Parolees. The owner believes if she can give dogs a second chance well then she have to give one to the people in her world too!
Also on Friday night is The Last American Cowboy. Which follows three families in the Montana span who are running honest to goodness cattle ranches. One still patrols his on horseback the other has so much land he has to patrol it in a helicopter. However they all fear the worst. Losing calves. Did you know that when a Cow is calving they have to use a pulley to get the baby out. Kinda disturbed me a little. But I guess that is why I don’t run a ranch! I don’t know how much I like the premise of this show. However I like that it does shows some just how hard it is to get that steak to your dinner plate!
On top of this National Geographic Channel Canada has started running new epis of A Dog’s Life! So I have been filling my time with that.
Not much else I have been watching except Pretty Little Liars! Which I have been pretty engrossed in.
I am so waiting for my Housewives to come back, NYC, NJ and DC all start in September as does Tori’s third season.
They’ve traded table flipping for the Whitehouse! LOL!!!!
Well, some of you know that my Grandpa has been in the hospital. We found out in early July that he had an aneurism in his aorta. Scary talk! So he went for some tests and then ended up in the hospital for a week, four blood transfusions, surgery, where we were told he was luckier than a lottery winner to be alive seeing as the aneurism had ruptured and re-sealed itself. He is now recovering very well, eating broth, jello and doing the things one does when they eat and drink! He is moving along with no effects at this point and I want to thank all of you for your well wishes and hopes and prayers!
So Summer is officially half over! Boooo! No not really I can’t wait for the hot, hot, heat (isn’t that a band or something) to go somewhere else. I love autumn! I have a surprise due on Hallowe’en…. Yeah can’t tell you yet! But the faster it comes the happier I will be!
Want to see the new movie Cats and Dogs the Revenge of Kitty Galore! May have to go on my own James is nooooottt interested and after making him choose between the wrecking yard and Eclipse… I don’t think I should push it!
I have to say James has been a rock during all of this Grampa stuff. On Friday night I finally realized that the surgery on Saturday could have me planning and attending a funeral, I called James and work and started balling so he rushed home and we talked it through and although I was not totally settled it was a help for me! I so love that I have someone who can deal with my Anxiety!
So in a couple days and I am off to la cottage! I cannot wait! I am so excited. Just we three, my little family. No one else! Kitties are getting baby-sat! I hate leaving them but they don’t do well outside of their home! Nanny will be taking care of them!
Anyway. Busy, at work, busy at home, busy TV, busy doggie, busy James, busy kitties. Haven’t done much else lately.
When back from the cottage will have to start catching up with all the friendly types! We are missing the Scarborough Rib Fest this year! Booooooo! But I would rather wake up to the lovely scenery in the pictures above! Ahhh, some of my best memories are at the cottage. Scott and my Dad trying to knock the wasp’s nest down while a little intoxicated after Thanksgiving Dinner. Hmmmm, Wesley trying to drown me in the lake when I was about six. Summers spent running free with Wes and Teresa never-changing out of my bathing suit or brushing my hair. Living on Cheese sandwiches and Pop Shoppe pop while hiking and picking raspberries. Our parents didn’t know where we were and never cared.
We would walk around to the Marina when Honour and Mike Burke owned it, and swim off the dock while the adults drank “purple milkshakes…” They would put the juke box on. Sleepovers at the Calamusa’s cottage! Man it was a good time! As my Grandfather gets older I fear the cottage will be sold and I really don’t want someone else living my memories! They are mine. As the sign above the oil heater used to say. “Dis is our place… De laughing place!” It is ours… And man did we laugh in it! So I am going for a week and we will have our own memories as a family! Yeah!
Now onto something that is sweeping the nation… Toes! Here are some pics of my last two pedis!
Opi — Poppy Red with multi-coloured butterfiles.
Opi — Some kind of orange with Tiger stripes! This caused some kind of sensation at work. It’s $30.00 well spent, the only thing I spend money on for ME and only ME!
So it is the week-end! What is everyone doing? Me I ain’t so sure right now! LOL!!!
OK, I just found out that The Real Housewives of New York, New Jersey and Washington DC are coming to Slice in September as are Tori and Dean! Woo Hoo! God loves me!
Also 19 Kids and Counting is starting again in Aug I think the 3rd….
So my fave blog pajama days finally announced that they got their new little puppy! We have all been waiting since Chelsea passed on… It has been a hard and long time for them but I know that what they learned from their dear girl will help them with this new little soul.
We have after all this time planned our VACA! I cannot wait! Me, James, Brody for a week, just us! No one else. Water to swim in, TV to watch, books to read, no phone, no internet…. OMG wait, what about my farm? What if the PVR forgets to record something….
OMG! I have issues! No really I just want to get away just us, our little family! Spending the time we need together that we don’t generally get as there are so many people in our lives that depend on us!
I bough the new DVD by Body by Bethenny. So as soon as it arrives I will start that and have something else to blog about.
As well I have recently gone back to Twitter. I have to say I am loving it! I have been connected with so many great sites!
ALSO, I cannot tell you enough about my re-newed obsession with The Chapman Family. No not the ice-cream Chapmans the DOG! Chapmans! I want to be just like BETH! No I am serious. Actually if I could be a cross between Beth and Sharon Osbourne I would be VERY HAPPY!
OK that’s enough, for some reason this blog entry has been a pain in my bazooka joe!
Oh Canada! Why Must you Wear That Flag? Somthing that ticked me off a little BUTTTTT the Canadians let him have it! Talks about why Canadian insist on wearing a Canadian Flag on their backpacks when travelling…. See how our peeps responded! It’s kinda funny!
Yup! We Killed an Ocean! OK I know everyone is so sick of hearing about the BP oil spill but I just cannot stop thinking about what we have done to the earth, what we have done to nature, what we have done to all of the little lives that have been affected! We have to feel this….. If we don’t who will?
Place ground lamb in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and break into small pieces until mostly browned. Drain any excess grease. Add the onion, green pepper, and garlic. Cook until onion is translucent. Stir in diced tomatoes and tomato paste, then season with parsley, basil, mint, cumin, and if using, cayenne. Simmer for about 5 minutes. Remove from heat, cover, and refrigerate overnight to blend the flavors.
Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C). Distribute the lamb mixture evenly over the tortillas, and spread out to the edges. Place the tortillas onto a baking sheet.
Bake for about 20 minutes in the preheated oven. Remove from the oven and place the lahmahjoons onto a large piece of aluminum foil so that two of them are meat side to meat side, then stack the pairs together, and bring the foil up over the top to keep warm. These can be served hot or cold. Cut into small wedges.

“Laggy am I compost or recycling?” Annie McF! I still don’t know what she meant!
Fave Move of the day!
Sneaking a meatball from the cafe when no one was looking and being told that I get away with too much! LOL!!!!!!
TV catch up!In Plain Sight is back on on Monday’s. Woo Hoo! I am desperately missing Cupcake Girls and Unstable. I cannot get into watching SYTYCD this season! I am really very caught up in The Hills and The City and really wish that Erin would just KICK Olivias ASS! Big time! I have recently gone back to watching Dog! The Bounty Hunter! I LOVE Beth! I am actually getting right into Happy Town but I am still not sure about it! I want my Housewives and Vampires back although there is a new Vampire one starting June 20 2010 called The Gates! I’ll give that a try for a bit!
Seems like forever since I last wrote. Well it has been over a month. With the holidays and work being busier than ever and school taking up a big part of my free time… Something had to give and well this is it.
So here I am coming back at ya. So TV since January has been OK! I really like the new Life Unexpected. It is a cute, funny, little show that seemed to catch me right from the first minute!
Now that Vampire Diaries is back I am even more hooked than I was before, I actually referred to it as my Second fave show after Criminal Minds. I am still hooked on Ice Road Truckers 2 and Ice Pilots, have to admit I have a little crush on Scott! http://www.icepilots.com/profile_scott.php
I have also started watching The Deep End which I am also quite liking…
I hate to admit that even though I swore I would never watch it, I started watching Grey’s Anatomy with my Grandmother at Christmas and now I am hooked. Of course I am watching American Idol,
and the rest of my faves, House, NCIS, Criminal Minds, The Metalist, Brothers and Sisters, Bones, Fringe…
Survivor starts this week Woo Hoo should be good.
America’s Next Top Model is starting in March…
What else! Oh ya! Those Housewives, OC and Atlanta are running at the same time, I really wish they would put the new NYC and New Jersey seasons on, I like them the best. Mmmm mmm! TROUBLE (in the words of Travis Tritt!) They are all trouble!
I miss Tori and Dean. I REALLY miss my Kate and her Eight and Table for 12
Now as for everything else (yes TV takes up a really big part of my life) Brody and the cats are well. James and I are trucking along better than ever. My boss is retiring so work is kind of up in the air right now, however REALLY over the top busy! School is also keeping me busy. I am in the throws of completing my last course in Criminal Psych. I have one assignment, eight profiling cases and one paper to write, before the exam and well them that’s it that’s all folks. On the other hand, I have to complete my PMP course load and write that Provincial Exam. I learned my lesson last semester while working full time. Being James’ girlfriend, Brody and the cats’ Mom, a daughter, sister, a grand-daughter and friend doesn’t make it easy to complete five courses… So this semester I took two and it is easier, so I think I will stick with that!
Well that is about it for now! I will try to write more often and bring back some of Brody’s funny stories!
I have not watched Dancing with the Stars (DWTS) in a while but this time I started watching late in the season. I love the Osbournes and routed for Kelly the whole way. Until I watched Donnie Osmond’s first dance on Monday night. Well I fell in love. He won, Kelly came in third. I am happy and well I will see how it goes with Season 10… Watch or not to watch that is the question!?
Went to see New Moon this past week-end… Not impressed. I loved the book it was my fave of all four I read it in one day at the cottage. The movie just didn’t do it justice! Jake all the way for me peeps! Not contest in my mind! Love me some werewolves!
Have been skimming through blog roll here some really good blogs and writing you should do the same when you have some time.
Christmas is coming the goose is getting fat, please put a penny in the old man’s hat if you haven’t got a penny a ha’penny will do if you haven’t got a ha’penny then god bless you! Picture Miss Piggy and John Denver! I love it. Gotta break out the CD!!!! I am so very excited, I am sure it is going to be a good year for us! I have done most of the shopping only about two more to go!
Work have been good nothing too much to report. I for the first time actually enjoy coming to work.
Cell phone is busted. Every timeJames calls it hangs up on him! LOL! I think it’s hilarious and it just really ticks him off! Oh and I busted my Parking break in my car and with a manual trannie it ain’t a good thing!
Love, happy to be in it!
Was going to do a pic of the day but found this on YouTube instead! And they say dogs are dumb!
Here’s a quick recipe too! They have a new Budget wise section on Kraftfoods.com and a big Potluck section for Christmas and US thanksgiving coming!
So, I am going to the One of a Kind show with my Mother-in-law and Grandmother this Sunday! I have not been in years, should be fun!
Along with the One of a Kind we used to go to the Sugar Plum Fair every year at Casa Loma, it was the National Ballet of Canada’s major fundraiser. Kinda miss it. We always got these chocolate and caramel covered apples from a place called Treemendous apples. I don’t know if they still exist!
I am really very sad that Eastwick has been cancelled it was really the only new show this season that I liked.
Jon and Kate plus Eight signed off on Monday night! I am really sad! I am going to miss that show quite a bit. STOOPIT Jon. Criminal Minds and Vampire Diaries have moved into my fave show category although I am really leaning towards Table for 12 as a replacement and in the end I still have 18 (soon to be 19) Kids and Counting!
It’s kinda funny that this season I didn’t watch too much of the reality TV, I have not watched Survivor, missed a few of the Hell’s Kitchen, got board with ANTM to the point I PVR’d it and skipped to the end every week so I could just see who got kicked off! I am getting back to the dramas except when it comes to TLC. Oh who am I fooling, still watching the Housewives and Tori and Dean. Still watching Canada’s Worst Driver! I love it! My newly discovered Rescue Ink is GREAT too!
Had lunch with an old friend and her puppy last Friday! It was nice! This time of the year is always good to reconnect!
I miss my best friend we don’t see nearly enough of each other. Lives are too busy!
A shout of Sympathy to my long time friend MAB. You have an angel watching down over you know. Just know that Snoopy is with Tiny and Mowhawk now! You will always have him in your memory!
The loss of a loved and cherished pet is devastating especially when they are nearing their 20s. Here is a website that helps with this… http://www.pet-loss.net/index.shtml However you need to remember that you have to go through the stages or grief the same as you would with a Human being! Don’t let anyone tell you any differently! http://www.petloss.com/rainbowbridge.htm
Well that is me done! Going to sign off now! Have a good one! I won’t leave it so long in between next time!

Jeanne only had picayune criticisms in regard to the new ad campaign, but that didn't stop her from voicing them at the meeting.
"Currently, in our gridlocked federal government, we've read numerous accounts about legislators who won't work together because they don't like one another or suffered some kind of picayune slight." — From an article in Suburban Trends (Morris, New Jersey), January 12, 2014
